Research interests

My background is in coral reproduction and restoration ecology, and I have a strong interest in recruitment dynamics and the factors affecting post-settlement survival in reef-building corals. My focus within the CoralINT project will be to examine how coral communities function as niche constructors and specifically how they alter the local environment and the effect this has on juvenile coral recruitment and survival. This project will employ high-resolution field observations through time, developing methodology for studying recruitment patterns on the reef and manipulative lab experiments.
